Tony builds his products in public and shares the wins and the misses as they happen. I've followed that journey for years, back to a Profile in Focus note about him on an earlier version of this site. Watching one person ship, market, and support real software keeps my own builder instincts honest.
I pay attention to how Tony works as much as what he ships. He runs a portfolio of small products on his own, so every hour has to earn its place. The tools he builds for himself, the tasks he automates, the features he says no to, all of it reads like field notes for doing more with a small team. TypingMind is the clearest example. He spotted a gap in how people used AI chat, shipped a front end for it fast, and has kept improving it in the open ever since. That loop of notice, ship, learn, repeat is the same one I try to run at work, with agents now doing more of the shipping.
